Loss of a child – is the doctor at fault?

Patient RecordThere isn’t anything worse than losing a child.

And it doesn’t matter when it happens – it rips your heart out and is hard to recover. In fact, it is hard to even breathe after it happens.

And in many circumstances, nothing could have prevented the loss. No test, no medication, no early induction or procedure – nothing could have changed the outcome but a miracle. And yet, in many other circumstances families come to our office because their gut tells them something should have been different. Something could have saved their child.

When we investigate a medical malpractice case, we charge nothing for our time. While the hospital and or doctor may likely charge for the medical records, we will investigate the matter internally and share our findings with families. If we feel the doctors or nurses were negligent in their care and treatment of you and /or your child while pregnant or after, we will explain how and why we think mistakes were made.

Sometimes, families only want to know what really happened. That is enough and the investigation stops there. But other times, they hope by filing suit another family won’t suffer the same loss.

It’s an unbearable loss and no lawsuit will ever begin to give families peace. But sometimes answers help.

Let us know if we can help you investigate medical malpractice case in Virginia. With two female attorneys, both of whom are Mothers, we promise to be sensitive, kind and caring.
