I think we can learn alot from reading what corporate lawyers have to say to their clients – and here is what they have to say:

“If your goal is to protect your assets, ie, your costumer base you should strongly consider a properly drafted covenant not to solicit customers or a client and a covenant not to solicit employees.”

So that is why Virginia employees have these things. They are being told they NEED THEM to protect their ASSETS.
