NURSING HOMES CONTINUE TO RECEIVE POOR RATINGS 150 150 Dan Frith

I’ve written several blogs about Medicare’s Five-Star Rating System and how many of the nursing homes in Virginia receive failing grades. If you are interested in finding out the ratings of many of the nursing homes in Southwest Virginia just search this blog for …”best nursing homes Roanoke”…or “best nursing homes Abingdon”…you get the idea.

Despite the Five-Star Rating System’s nationwide use, the long term care industry has done little to improve the level of care provided to the elderly and infirm.

Don’t believe me? Check out this article, “Analysis: Poor ratings persist for 1 in 5 U.S. nursing homes” which appears in today’s USA Today newspaper.
