Steve Piskor had grown so concerned about the treatment his mother was receiving at a MetroHealth Medical Center nursing home that he installed a hidden camera in her room along with a sign that warned employees of its presence. Yet, over the next two months, he found numerous instances of aides mocking and abusing his 78-year-old mother at MetroHealth’s Prentiss Center for Skilled Nursing Care on Scranton Road in Cleveland.
Good for him and even better for his mother. Those employees “caught” on tape should go to jail!
The use of hidden cameras or “Granny Cams” is legal in Virginia as long as you follow these regulations.
