Today’s Roanoke Times had the following headlines:

  • Rabid Bobcat brings fight to doorstep
  • Global Warming may be storm culprit
  • Senior Population Swells in most areas
  • Misspent funds point to problem

Now which of those headlines is really no surprise at all?

And don’t tell me the Bobcat was predictable.

It’s the SENIOR population swelling in the area. And such news will bring additional health care providers. New ones, franchises, up and coming companies buying old buildings or new land to create new facilities.
Some of these providers will be welcome additions to the health care community, focusing on patient care.

Others will not.
Do some research before you let the shiny new paint convince you a nursing home or assisted living facility is right for your family.

Don’t know how to research facilities?

Call Mary Ann next week and ask for our free book – CONSUMER’S GUIDE TO LONG TERM CARE IN VIRGINIA. Call 540-985-0098 to get your copy. Nope, sadly, it won’t help with the Bobcat issue – but it will help you make important decisions about health care.
