LONG TERM CARE INSURANCE IN VIRGINIA

Dan and I wrote a book this year on Long Term Care options in Virginia. In one chapter, we about Long Term Care insurance — and what questions to ask when you are looking for a policy. And then, I heard some good news out of Richmond for Virginians: HB 1840 which passed and is now awaiting Gov. signature, “Doubles the amount of the tax credit an individual can take for long-term care insurance from 15 percent to 30 percent of the amount of the premium paid for such insurance, for taxable years beginning on and after January 1, 2012.” So it pays to prepare, in more ways then one.
