A couple of key terms to be aware of:

  • Someone in the family will be a responsible party – for medical and financial decisions.
  • There might be arbitration provision that require  the family to go before a private arbitrator, not a public court of law, if something goes wrong.
  • There should be a list of resident rights as required by federal and Virginia law.
