Apologies Gaining Favor in Medical Community
In a departure from past practices, doctors are increasingly admitting medical errors and making apologies for their mistakes. Advocates of the practice say acknowledging errors helps increase patient satisfaction and may cut back on medical malpractice lawsuits.
