HOME HEALTH CARE NIGHTMARE HITS HOME 150 150 Lauren Ellerman

Last Month I posted a blog on Home Healthcare Nightmares – people being abused by Home Health care workers with shady pasts unknown to their employees.

I gave all this great advice on how to investigate home health care workers and NOT rely on what the agency tells you.

Well, for once I thought it would be good to take my own advice. I rely on home health care workers to help one of my loved ones several states away, so this weekend I started looking into my Mom’s nurses as of late.

And BINGO – one such nurse has 4 (yes 4) convictions for THEFT in her recent past. Oh, and I can’t actually find a license for her to provide any kind of health care – AT ALL.

She has no license and a propensity for stealing from people – and was welcomed into my loved ones’ home to provide one on one care.

I AM FURIOUS. What can I do?

Help others in my situation —- Breach of contract, negligence suits – let us make sure these Home Health Care agencies learn they cannot hire people without doing their research. After all, our loved ones, their health, their safety and their protection is at stake.
