If you have to sign an employment agreement (and many do), why not try to understand the agreement? Or better yet, make it work for you?

Not all employers will be willing to bargain, negotiate your change your agreement. And if they refuse, it begs the question, Do you want to work for someone like that?

If an employer is willing to help you or work with you, that is a great way to start off the relationship.

Please know what you will be expected to sign – keep a copy – read it and understand it yourself.
It will save you time and money in the long run.
