I do not know why this is, but here is a fact.
Most people who call our office and want their non-compete reviewed, call on Thursday or Friday.
Most people call right before they are going to quit and have another job offer on the table.
Many of our prospective clients call toward the end of the month because I suppose, they wanted a pay check before they quit.
While we are happy to help folks toward the end of the month, and at the end of the week, I recommend you do some research first.
1. Read / Request Dan’s Book on HOW TO BEAT YOUR NON-COMPETE. You can call Mary Ann in our office (540) 985-0098 and request your free copy today. Or you can email her your request at mspencer@frithlawfirm.com.
2. Read the book – and come up with a few concerns you may have about your agreement.
3. Make sure you have your agreement.
4. Call our office and set up a time to have one of our attorneys, review, evaluate and discuss your options, rights etc.
I would recommend you do this before you start your job search. Many companies in Virginia will not be happy to learn you have a non-compete. It is helpful if you can tell your potential employers about the agreement, and your restrictions.
