Republican Bob Goodlatte is a long-time member of the Virginia delegation to the U.S. House of Representatives.  He currently serves as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.  As an aside, he was elected in 1993 after a campaign in which he stressed the need for “term limits.”  That’s correct…he has been a member of the House of Representatives for 24 years after telling voters our politicians stayed in office too long.  Draw your own conclusions from those facts.

Representative Goodlatte is supporting a bill (HR 1215) which will severely curtail the rights of victims of medical negligence to hold health care providers accountable.   Worst of all, it will be low-come individuals and older Americans who will be the most negatively affected by the law if passed by House.
