On our firm website – https://frithlawfirm.com/, we speak about a bacterial outbreak in an assisted living facility that lead to the death of at least two residents…. but can you imagine, two babies have died because staff did not properly sterilize instruments.

I know our health care professionals work hard. In fact, in most cases where we see nurse negligence, it stems from gross understaffing. If you have 12 patients to care for, and all need food, meds, turning etc – or in this case, babies, how can you provide the detailed level of care they require? I wish I had an answer. Rather, I have a suggestion. To hospitals, nursing homes everywhere – pay your nurses more money, have them work less hours – and hire more – so careless mistakes like this one, are not continually made.
