I read in the New York Times this week that 70 Million Americans will have turned 65 by the year 2030.
70 Million people.
That’s more than all the people currently living in VIRGINIA, NORTH CAROLINA, MARYLAND, PENNSYLVANIA, NEW JERSEY & NEW YORK STATE combined.
That’s 70 million ways to make a few dollars by cutting corners on patient care.
That’s 70 million chances at being over medicated.
That’s 70 million opportunities for neglect.
With such a growing market for elderly care services, we the consumer, need to be careful.
Don’t place a loved one in a nursing home without doing your homework.
Don’t let a home health care worker in your home without some background research.
Don’t allow someone to care for your loved one, because they are convenient or cheap.
