I love reading about small brokerage houses doing things differently – like inviting employees to join the firm but keep their book of business if and when they leave.
Wall Street Journal today features one such company – Huntington Investment Co. Read all about and lets hope this trend continues: http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20100310-708798.html?mod=WSJ_latestheadlines
Will brokers flock to a house where clients are the broker’s and not the firms? What about taking less pay but not having a non-compete.
I think its a trend bound to catch on.
